Whilst the vast majority of our patients continue to maintain a very respectful and polite approach to our staff we are unfortunately experiencing an increase in isolated incidences of unacceptable and unreasonable behaviour.
If you are feeling frustration with the service you are receiving, we would be grateful if you could take the time to read the letter ( see link below) that describes the current pressures on all GP surgeries. This is a response to inaccurate allegations appearing in National Newspapers and on social Media. These reports raise considerable concerns for both our staff and for patients and are not an accurate picture.
Please also play the YouTube video below which gives an honest picture from a GP point of view about how hard everyone in the NHS continues to work to provide the best possible service, under what are still very difficult conditions.
Please be aware that we will not tolerate any form of harassment and bullying of our staff and any such behaviour may result in the perpetrators being removed from our list.
We are awaiting for further information about the delivery of our OVER 65 vaccines – please keep an eye on our website for updates.
We have received a small delivery of our UNDER 65 flu vaccinations. We are vaccinating patients who are under 65 in priority order. Please call reception if you are under 65 and in a clinical risk group to make your appointment.
Plans are being put into place to vaccinate patients who are housebound.
COVID 19 BOOSTER
Patients will be invited to book for their Covid Booster when they are due. You will be contacted by letter, email or text by the NHS. Please note that you’ll only be able to book an appointment for a booster dose if it’s been at least 6 months (180 days) since your 2nd dose of the vaccine.
To book your Covid Booster online please click here or call 119. We are unable to access the booking system, so are unable to book, cancel and amend any appointments.
COVID 19 THIRD DOSE – immunosuppressed
If you have received a letter from the NHS advising that you may require a third dose and may require an additional dose if you have a severely weakened immune system, you will need to attend one of the walk in clinics for your appointment (see link below for dates and locations). Alternatively you can call 01424 236260 to book an appointment. (please be advised that the phone lines are very busy and you may need to wait and keep trying). You need to take the letter with you to your appointment. Although the letter states to call us to book an appointment, we are currently unable to book any Covid boosters or doses, so please do not call the surgery.
Please see the following link for dates and locations for walk in clinics

Out of Hours Appointments
An out of hours service is run by the Hastings & Rother CCG. This service is provided by NHS 111. This service operates during weekday evenings and nights from 6.30pm to 8am as well as all day on Saturdays and Sundays. It must be stressed that out of hours calls should be for urgent medical problems or advice only. An operator will take your details and arrange the right access to services for you.
Along with our colleagues in Hastings and Rother we are providing an Extended Access service for those patients who work or find it difficult to get to the surgery during working hours.
You must book these appointments in advance and they are subject to availability. Appointments are available Monday to Friday evenings 6:30 – 8:00pm; Saturday and Sunday mornings.
Please note that these appointments may not be at this surgery and could be a telephone consultation. If you need to be seen during these times please contact our reception team to check availability. You will be asked to give your consent for the GP at that surgery access to your medical record.
