Travel health

Stay safe and healthy abroad

Please make sure you seek advice about your travel needs at least 3 to 4 months before you are due to travel as you may need several doses at weekly or monthly intervals to complete a vaccination course and ensure that you are fully covered before you travel. Please complete one travel questionnaire for each patient of the practice who is travelling with you. If you are travelling within 21 days of completing the questionnaire you may have to go to a travel clinic.

Please also note that some vaccines are not available under the NHS guidelines and may need to be administered at a cost this includes Malaria advice/protection. We can supply you with a private prescription.

We are not able to provide Yellow Fever protection; this must be done at a specialist centre. Details of your nearest travel centre can be found here

Once you have completed and returned your questionnaire a member of our reception team will contact you to advise you or any recommended vaccinations required and any costs. We would then try to make a suitable appointment for you with one of our Practice Nurses. Any costs incurred would need to be paid for prior to the appointment.

More information on vaccines can be found below.
